The Argentina economy has been becoming greener because of new political orientation, international
commitments (the Paris agreement and 2030 Agenda for sustainable development) and private sector initiatives. In 2015, 7% of formal jobs were green and presented better average employment conditions then the rest. The Green Jobs Fair took place on 6 September 2019 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and brought together over 700 young people, government, employers and private sector representatives. The Fair focused on sustainable ventures, training opportunities and a Just Transition towards a green economy. It was jointly organized by PAGE, the National Ministries of Environment, Production and Labour, the Government of the Buenos Aires City, the National Institute for
Youth and other partners.
