Amidst the increasing demand for organic farming, farmers of Gujarat are now moving towards cow based farming. Many farmers are making good profits by joining it. This method is called cow-based organic farming because it uses cow urine, dung and milk from the cow for farming. Ashwin Naria, a farmer from Surat in Gujarat also does cow-based. By adopting this method, he has reduced the cost of his cultivation by 80 percent. Apart from the farmer, Ashwin is also a consultant who gives information to the people about agriculture.

According to The Better India, Ashwin has been doing research in this type of farming for the last 20 years. In his 20 years of research, he also did research on cow based Panch Sanskar. It is worth noting that it has also been scientifically confirmed. Apart from this, they have got to see shocking results.

What is Panch Sanskar

Ashwin Naria explains that the meaning of Sanskar in Panch Sanskar is that we purify the seed, land, air, vegetation and water by our natural methods and put positive energy in it. Due to which there is a good effect on the yield of agriculture.

First of all, ground rituals are performed. In this, big trees like coconut, neem jamun and mango are planted around the field. This creates a great eco system inside the farm. After this, a mixture of 50 liters of cow urine and 10 liters of castor oil per acre is applied to the fields to prepare the land. They sprinkle ashes made from cow dung in the field. Cow dung contains up to 26 percent oxygen. Whereas the cow dung cake contains up to 54 percent oxygen.

Before planting the seeds in the field, a ritual is performed which is called seed treatment. For this, seeds are left for 24 hours in a mixture of one kg cow dung, one liter cow urine, 50 grams lime, 100 grams cow’s milk, 100 grams turmeric in 10 liters of water, then after drying in the shade, it is planted in the field. Goes.

Then water rituals are performed. In this, the grass of Kush is used to keep the pH level of the water used in the field right.

The fourth rite is the botanical rite, which is done to protect the crops from pests and other diseases. Organic things are used for this. Mixing 250 grams of cow’s milk and 100 grams of jaggery in 15 liters of water, sprinkle them in the fields. Apart from this, other organic pesticides are also made.

At the end, there is Vayu Sanskar, under which Ashwin performs havan on the farm to purify the air of the field. Cow dung cakes and pure ghee are used in the havan. Ashwin explains that about 108 types of gas are released from the smoke of the havan, which kills the bacteria present in the atmosphere.

Ashwin, who has a B.Sc degree in Agriculture, is always doing new experiments in agriculture. For this, he has received an award from the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce of Surat. They do farming throughout the year and always keep growing something or the other in the field.
