As a person I am a careerist & sure about my decisions. Which means once I decide that I have to do a thing, I ensure I succeed in doing it. I enjoy doing it the most if it is beyond the reach of commoners & am very good at solving problems. With a very talkative nature & an extrovert that I am, I can make friends very easily, & can nurture my friendship very well. After my post graduation in 1996, I was looking at all options, whereby, from my characteristics of making friends, & liking problem solving, I decided to take up a career whereby I can interact with a lot of people, make friends, innovate my style every day & solve problems.  Slowly, I matured from a simple teacher of Microbiology to Accreditation and Operations Manager in a period of 15 years.

My experience is mentioned below chronologically

v  Working as a Lead auditor with Six Sigma quality international  since February 2011

v  Worked as a PRINCIPAL ASSESSOR FOR QMS, EMS, OHSMS & FSMS with INDIAN REGISTER QUALITY SYSTEMS  (A Dept. of Indian Register of Shipping) from Oct 2005 to January 2011.

Responsibilities as a Principal Assessor

·         Carrying out Documentation Reviews / Adequacy Audit, conducting on-site audits as a Team Leader (Log sheets of companies audited can be provided on request).

·         Reviewing competencies of auditors for audits as per the organisational requirements.

·         Developing certification procedure manual for Food Safety Certification and implementation of Guide 65.

·         Sought RvA and NABCB accreditations for FSMS certification scheme.

·         Handling Accreditations through maintenance of ISO 17021, ISO 22003, ISO 27006 & ISO 28003.

·         Liaison with accreditation bodies for issues like scope extension, new management system accreditations etc.

·         Decision maker for QMS and FSMS certification.

·         Handling FSMS certification Pan-India with major clients like ITDC Hotels, Goldfinch Hotels, G.D.Foods, Arabian Exports, Accelerated Freeze Drying Co. Ltd., etc.

·         Handling 2^nd Party Audits for Futuregroup.

·         Handling the Quality Assurance activity of IRQS department.

·         Design templates for online reporting system for certification activity and co-ordinate with IRS – IT department for implementation.

·         Launched Food Safety Management System Lead Auditor Course accredited by NABET.

·         Lead Tutor for QMS and FSMS Lead Auditor Courses and other FSMS related training programmes

·         Designing new training programmes

·         Handling Certification operations, which include monitoring of audit planning, execution, scrutiny and issuance of certificates.

·         Attending meetings with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries and Accreditation Bodies for updation and reviews.

·         Evaluation and approval of auditors for QMS and FSMS certification schemes, regular monitoring of auditors and identification of training needs.

v  Worked as a SENIOR AUDITOR FOR QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND FOOD SAFETY   with ICS (ASIA) PVT. LTD from Dec 2002 – Sept 2005.

Responsibilities as a Senior Auditor

·         Carrying out Documentation Reviews / Adequacy Audit.

·         Conducting on-site audits as a Lead Auditor (Log sheets of companies audited can be provided on request).

·         Planning audits and designating auditors for different audits as per available SIC codes.

·         Preparing training manual for Food Safety and Quality Management System training courses.

·         Conducting trainings for Food Safety Management (HACCP) and Quality Management System. (Awareness as well as Internal Auditor)

·         Developing certification procedure manual for Food Safety Certification.

·         Processing documents for RvA accreditation.

·         Training new recruits.

·         Preparation of technical files for Medical Devices for CE Marking

v  Worked as a FREELANCE QUALITY SYSTEM CONSULTANT

Responsibilities as a ISO-9000 Quality System Consultant

·         Documentation of the System.

·         Implementation of the procedures as required by ISO Quality Systems.

·         Preparing the firm’s representative as well as associated personnel to face the certification audit.

·         Training Internal Quality Auditors.

·         Successfully completed ISO 9002-1994 and ISO 9001-2000 Quality System Implementation in J.N.S. Disposable Devices Pvt. Ltd. and Meditec Devices Pvt. Ltd.

v  Worked as a LECTURER (part- time) in Sathaye College from August 2001 to Sept. 2005

Responsibilities as a Lecturer

·         Delivering lectures to Undergraduates in subjects like Environmental Microbiology, Food Microbiology and Medical Microbiology.

·         Conducting Practical for Under graduates.

·         Setting examination papers.

v  Worked as a part time TECHNOLOGY MANAGER with Deva Drill Tech (I) Ltd. from August 2001 – Nov 2002

Responsibilities as a Technology Manager

·         Preparing all documents required for marketing the product.

·         Preparation of Product safety data sheets.

·         Getting the product tested from different Analytical Laboratories as per the Standards.

·         Participating in technical discussions with customers and handling their queries.

·         Providing total technical support to the marketing staff in doing successful business.

Before this

v  Worked as a Quality Assurance Manager in Deva Drill Tech. (I) Ltd. From 1995 to August 2001.

Responsibilities as a Quality Assurance Manager

·         Testing of products like Bactericides, Pour Point Depressant, Demulsifiers, Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose, Corrosion Inhibitors etc.

·         Solving technical problems at customer’s end. (Visited ONGC Platform after successful safety trainings to get  products tested successfully)

·         Preparation of MSDS for the above products.

·         Training of workers in the factory on handling of hazardous chemicals (especially solvents). Implementation of safe work culture in the factory.

·         Monitoring of parameters like BOD, COD, TSS, TDS, TS, DO, etc.

·         Training new recruits.

·         Worked as a successful Management Representative for implementation of ISO-9002 Quality System in the firm.

·         Worked on efficiency of xanthan gum from Xanthomonas campestris as a binder in the icecreams insitu. Carried out pilot scale studies on the same. The project period was about 4years 7months.

·         Developing new products from indigenous raw materials. (Worked on Bactericides, Corrosion Inhibitors and Pour Point Depressants)

·         Setting quality parameters during manufacture process.

·         Looking after the laboratory upkeep.

·         1994 –1995 Worked as a Lecturer of Chemistry and Biology in a reputed Coaching Class in Mumbai.
